Wounded by disappointing reviews of 1973’s ‘Twist Me A Rainbow’, Bingo Sputnik fled to the continent with groupie (and sometime backing vocalist) Rose, where they vanished amongst covers bands performing on the Costa del Sol. In early 1974 Sputnik was back in England shivering on the south coast but in an incredibly short amount of time he recorded and produced another album of strange songs with his band the Tin Satellites, albeit not without incident...

“Only Bingo Sputnik would have the audacity to write a song about dancing in 5/4 time!” ~ Melody Express, August 1974.
