about

Following the commercial failure of 1972's "70 Mauve" album, Bingo Sputnik retreated to his mother's home in Bournemouth, England. Here, he found inspiration from long sittings on a bench overlooking the English Channel and conversations with a retired musical theatre actor. Before long, The Tin Satellites gathered once again to record an album of songs financed by the remortgaging of Bingo's mother's house.
